Will Smith, after receiving a lot of online hate from his fans and other celebrities,
for slapping Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscar award night, is concerned about other things that might follow his being banned from attending the Oscars for ten years.
The incident which happened at the final hour of the event has been the talk of people’s month and it’s still a big deal in Will Smith’s career.
Do you think Smith will be able to cope with life after the issue?
Here is one opinion: Everyone deserves redemption. We have all had a time in our lives where we have acted out of character. Unfortunately for celebrities, they dont have the luxury of privacy and sweeping these moments under the rug. Although his behavior was shocking and inappropriate, he is human. Celebrities are not Gods. They are not perfect. They are learning and making mistakes along the way just like the rest of us. I dont think this is something he should be punished the rest of his life for. Time away for a bit while may do him some good. But when he returns, I hope he is welcomed back with forgiveness and a fair chance to prove he has learned from his mistakes. No one should be forever punished.
