Vin Diesel Gives a Fast 10 Filming Update in New Ludacris Video

A new video from Vin Diesel and Ludacris provides an update on the Fast & Furious 10 filming progress. Following Justin Lin’s Fast & Furious 9, the major plot of the Fast Saga has been reduced to two chapters.

Fast & Furious 10 will be released next year, before the franchise concludes with Fast & Furious 11. And, despite some production hitches, Diesel and Ludacris want fans to know that Fast & Furious 10, officially known as Fast X, is progressing well. Fast X will see Dominic Toretto’s “familia” return to the big screen, this time battling a fresh new nemesis in Jason Momoa’s yet-unnamed bad guy.

Cipher, played by Charlize Theron, is also confirmed to return and will most likely be the overarching nemesis in this last chapter of the Fast Saga. Meanwhile, newcomers such as Brie Larson, Daniela Melchior, Rita Moreno, and Alan Ritchson will join the car-centric franchise in the series’ tenth main edition.

Lin was supposed to end up the Fast Saga following his return spell in F9. However, due to artistic disagreements, he left Fast X just before production began and was replaced by Louis Leterrier.

Despite the last-minute alteration, Diesel assures supporters that Fast X is doing great. In a new Instagram video, the actor is joined by his long-time co-star, Ludacris, who claims the pieces are beginning to fall into place. They also discuss leaving a legacy with these flicks as they reach the end of the line. Watch the video below:

As a producer in the Fast Saga, Diesel is known to deliver regular updates on what the series is up to next. In the previous month, the actor has shared behind-the-scenes footage alongside Larson, Momoa, Melchior, and Mia Toretto star Jordana Brewster. This current video is noteworthy since Ludacris has been a member of the series for nearly as long as Diesel, implying that the two are real-life pals.

While these social media posts may appear to be merely a fun method of discussing what they’re up to for Fast X, they’re also tremendously beneficial in assuaging fans’ anxieties following Lin’s departure from the film. Seeing how much fun Diesel and his co-stars appear to be enjoying is an indirect indication that things are going well for the film.
