Sylvester Stallone joins cast of The Suicide Squad
Chief James Gunn has reported that Sylvester Stallone is joining the cast of The Suicide Squad.
The film is a joined spin-off of and delicate reboot of the 2016 DC Comics variation Suicide Squad, and sees a list of supervillains collaborate to frame an Avengers-esque supergroup.
Stallone joins an outfit cast which as of now incorporates Idris Elba, John Cena, Peter Capaldi, and Pete Davidson.
Margot Robbie and Viola Davis will likewise be repeating their jobs, of Harley Quinn and Amanda Waller separately, from the first 2016 film.
Gunn, who is most popular for coordinating Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, posted an image of himself and Stallone on Instagram.
Beside the image, he wrote: “Always love working with my friend @officialslystallone & our work today on #TheSuicideSquad was no exception.
“Despite Sly being an iconic movie star, most people still don’t have any idea what an amazing actor this guy is.”
The Rocky star then also confirmed the news on his own Instagram page, sharing a photo of a news outlet reporting his casting, along with the message: “Working with this incredible Director on this astounding project has made this an amazing year. I am a very lucky man to be surrounded by such talent.”
