The biggest Spider-Man: No Way Home spoiler that Marvel Studios did its best to keep a secret till the release has now been disclosed.
Andrew Garfield did a great job (or at least tried to) at denying his involvement in the third installment of the Tom Holland Spider-Man series of movies. But the cat is finally out of the bag nearly two months after the film was released. Sony and Marvel shared the gathering of the past and present Spider-Men, recreating the iconic animated meme of the two Spider-Men pointing at each other. This crossover is going down in history and now everyone can freely acknowledge it.
The production companies took to social media to promote the digital and Blu-ray release of No Way Home. “Of course, we got THE meme,” the post read. “Spider-Man No Way Home swings home on Digital March 22 and on 4K UHD & Blu-ray on April 12!” They then attached the picture of the three Spider-Man actors, Tobey Maguire, Garfield, and Holland recreating the meme behind the scenes.

The original meme comes from the 1960s Spider-Man cartoon episode Double Identity. In the episode, two Spider-Men are pointing at each other, one of whom is a villain who’s impersonating the hero. The frame has become a popular meme format on the internet.
In fact, the three recreated the meme in the movie as well and Garfield had already mentioned how fun it was to do that. It was his idea as well and he shared, “It was hilarious because it’s like just three ordinary dudes who were just actors just hanging out,” he said about seeing each other for the first time in the Spider-Man suits and added, “But then also, you just become a fan and say, ‘Oh my god we’re all together in the suits and we’re doing the pointing thing!'” He definitely had a blast reprising his role as Spider-Man along with the other two actors. He also revealed that when he told the other two that he loved them in the movie, it was improvised. “That was just me loving them,” he said.
