Chad Stahelski directed all three productions, with the first being his directorial debut. The franchise is known for its intense action sequences. Keanu Reeves stars as a brutal hitman. John Wick, popularly known as Baba Yaga or the Boogeyman, has received a lot of accolades.

The release of John Wick 4 was originally scheduled for May 2021, however it was delayed owing to the coronavirus or COVID-19 outbreak. It will now be released in theatres on May 27, 2022. A TV series dubbed The Continental is also in the works, with plans to broadcast after the fourth feature.
