Jason Statham is an English actor and former model and competitive diver. Statham is known for his roles in the Guy Ritchie crime films Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998), Snatch (2000), and Revolver (2005). He has also appeared in films such as the action thriller The Transporter trilogy (2002–2008), the heist film The Italian Job (2003), the black comedy-action film Crank (2006), the action film War (2007), the science fiction action thriller Death Race (2008), the crime film The Bank Job (2008), and the action series The Expendables (2010–14). In 2015, Statham starred in the latest entry in the The Fast and the Furious franchise, Furious 7, and is set to reprise his role in the upcoming film Fast 8.
He usually performs his own stage combat and stunts, and is noted for being typecast as an antihero.
Did nearly all of his own stunts in The Transporter (2002), including car chase sequences, scuba diving sequences and fight sequences. He’s since appeared in other action films such as The Expendables (2010) with Sylvester Stallone and Killer Elite (2011). The action star also appeared in Parker (2013) with Jennifer Lopez.
Prior to The Transporter (2002) he already had a background in martial arts which enabled him to perform his own fight sequences. Well trained in Mixed Martial Arts and is an expert in Kickboxing/Jujitsu, so he can do real fight.
