If you’re a fan of action packed movies, you’ll absolutely fall hard for this adventurous movie “Hobbs & Shaw.”
For those who haven’t heard about “Hobbs & Shaw,” it’s a spin-off from the Fast & Furiousfranchise. Did it ring a bell? Fast & Furious is a popular movie series that involves high-end racing cars.
When the first sequel of Hobbs & Shaw was released, it became an instant hit and grossed more than $755 million globally, and received many notable acclaims.
However, the fans are anxious about the next sequel since the original came out in 2019, and it’s been a little over two years already, and we haven’t gotten any solid details, but we do know that a sequel is happening.
Producer of Hobbs & Shaw, Hiram Garcia ascertained along with actor Dwayne Johnson that the upcoming sequel is in the developing phase. So, finally, the question arises, when can the fans expect to see this highly anticipated adventure flick?
Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw is an American action movie helmed by David Leitch and jotted down by Chris Morgan along with Drew Pearce, from a book by Morgan. Hobbs & Shaw is a spin-off of the Fast & Furious franchise that takes place after the exhibitions of the 2017 film “The Fate of the Furious.” It stars Dwayne Johnson as Luke Hobbs and Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw alongside Vanessa Kirby, Idris Elba,Cliff Curtis, Eiza González, and Helen Mirren. The story revolves around the odd pairing of the duo as they work together with Shaw’s younger sister ( played by Vanessa Kirby) to fight a programmed terrorist (played by Idris Elba), endangering the planet with a fatal infection.
Unfortunately, there is no release date available, although the upcoming sequel has been in discussions for quite a long time, and till now, nothing has been confirmed yet.
Due to the pandemic, things got delayed, and it greatly affected the production of the forthcoming sequel.
According to actor Dwayne Johnson, “everybody involved with the project is getting started. Just gotta figure out the creative right now and the direction we’re going to go.”
However, it is expected that the movie will arrive by 2022 at the earliest though filming is yet to kick off.
Kelly McCormick, who’s one of the producers, said, ”Everybody’s really busy on that particular franchise. I mean, who’s busier than Dwayne Johnson?”
She further added, “And, he’s critical to the project. We’re just waiting to hear, to be honest. I think it’s something that would be awesome to continue, but I think everybody’s just been so busy working on projects in the COVID of it all, that we’re still waiting to hear… There’s a lot of excitement to try to make something.”

It’s been reported that the movie will have a limited theatrical premiere on November 5, 2022, before landing on Netflix on November 12, 2022.
