Henry Cavill’s Upcoming Films, TV Series, and More in 2022

Henry Cavill began his career with Man of Steel and rose to prominence as ‘Superman.’ This year, Henry is planning new trips and incredible undertakings. This year, the actor has had a spectacular run with Zack Snyder’s Justice League and will shortly resume his role as White Wolf in The Witcher Season 2. Henry is also expected to appear in two more future blockbusters.
The Witcher Season 2 (Post-Production)
The Witcher, Henry Cavill The Witcher, based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s fantasy book series of the same name, was the biggest hit on Netflix. Season 2 was confirmed by Netflix even before the first season premiered.
Season 2’s development, which began in London in early 2020 with hopes to release it in 2021, initially faced several problems. The manufacturing, like many others, was halted in March owing to the COVID-19 epidemic. Filming continued in August, but then the UK’s safety lockdowns kicked in, forcing the crew to relocate the production.
The show’s production was once again halted when many staff members tested positive for COVID-19. Not only that, but the Witcher’s production was halted again in December due to a leg injury received by Henry Cavill. The good news is that Netflix has already published a teaser trailer for Season 2 of The Witcher. Netflix, on the other hand, does not currently have a release date for The Witcher season 2, but informed investors during the summit that it would debut in Q4 2021.
Enola Holmes (Confirmed)
Enola Holmes is based on Nancy Springer’s same-named novel series about Sherlock Holmes’ younger sister Enola Holmes. In the film, Millie Bobby Brown plays Enola alongside Henry Cavill as the crafty Sherlock Holmes.
Netflix has confirmed an Enola Holmes 2 sequel, with Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill returning their roles. Enola Holmes premiered on Netflix in September 2020, after being slated for a theatrical release but instead being taken up by Netflix. Enola Holmes 2 does not yet have a release date on Netflix.
Untitled DC Movie (Cameo)
With Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, Henry Cavill launched the DCEU to new heights as Superman. Following that, he will appear in Superman vs. Batman and Justice League. Henry Cavill isn’t going to retire as Superman anytime soon.
Cavill stated on the cover of Men’s Health magazine that he had “not given up on the role.” “The cape is stored in the closet.” “It’s still mine,” he said. “I’m not going to sit quietly in the dark while all this is going on.” I still have a lot to contribute to Superman. There’s a lot of story to share. “There are a lot of actual, authentic dimensions to the character I want to delve into,” he continued.
In June 2020, Variety claimed that Henry Cavill’s Superman would return in an untitled future DC film. It will not, however, be the forthcoming Shazam: Fury of the Gods. So Black Adams might be the culprit. It might feature the same cameo that we saw in Shazam (2019)
‘Highlander’ Reboot (Confirmed)
According to Deadline, the Man of Steel star is in discussions for one of the major parts in Lionsgate’s Highlander revival, which will be directed by John Wick’s Chad Stahelski. The original 1986 film starred Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery, and Clancy Brown as eternal entities that hunted each other down to become more powerful.
“Being not afraid of swords and having a filmmaker as great as Chad Stahelski at the helm, this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance.” “Deep diving into franchise narrative with all of the tools at our disposal will make this a journey I (and hopefully all of you) will never forget,” Henry Cavill said. It’s unknown if Cavill will portray the Highlander himself or a whole new character in the realm.
