Avatar was the highest-grossing film worldwide for nearly a decade until it was overtaken by Avengers: Endgame in 2019, before a Chinese re-release saw Avatar retake the top spot in March 2021.
It was a combination of an exceptional cast with a unique storyline that made it so popular in the first place. It has now been 12 years since the first film was released, and the cast has been fairly busy in the meantime.
Some have continued to pursue their careers, while others have taken some time off for themselves.
